The method
Low pressure, and a biocide
A soft wash puts a biocide solution on the roof at low pressure, usually with a pole and brush from ground level or the roof edge, so there's rarely any need to walk on the tiles (Dirtbgone). It kills moss, algae and lichen at the root. Visible change can show within a day, and the dead growth dries and washes off with the rain over the following weeks.
